Our Mission
The mission of the Miami Valley Elite Basketball Club is
simple and straightforward. We exist for every girl that has ever picked up a basketball and found true
happiness. We exist for every girl that feels the social need to be with others that have the same dream.
We exist for every girl with a dream of someday starting on her high school varsity team or making it to play collegiate basketball.
We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to chase their dream!
Come, find out what we are all about!
Our History
Early in 2002, during a phone conversation with two coaches, the idea
for the Miami Valley Elite was born. Making phone calls to contact players, the team quickly formed. With
a lot of help from caring parents, and some willing sponsors, the first season was a huge success. We grew
from one team that year to 6 teams, and then to 9 teams.
Wanting to keep it simple, the club board decided that each
team would be autonomous and responsible for their own well-being and logistics. The club, however, would assist
in purchasing uniforms and other necessary logistics and operations. This approach, coupled with an open accounting practice
is appealing to many newcomers to AAU basketball.
Due to time and financial constraints, coupled with a desire to just coach basketball, the
Director, Dave White, decided to slowly phase out the club. It has been a labor of love, and with dedicated and loyal
players, Coach White has actually fielded competitive teams in the last couple of years. While the Miami Valley
Elite is going away after 2007, the spirit that the club brought to the competitive circuit will continue through Coach White's
efforts in another organization.
